Best Paper Awards

These papers were chosen in the following categories by the Best Paper Awards Committee. The awards were presented during the WDSI 2018 Business Luncheon at noon on April 6, 2018, on the last day of our conference.
Application Paper Category

"Modeling Driver Behavior and Learning in Dilemma Zone Using an Adaptive Driving Simulator Design" by Sahar H. Machiani (San Diego State University), Montasir Abbas (Virginia Tech), and Kale Balfour-Kawasaki (San Diego State University).


Empirical Paper Category

Best Junior Faculty Awards

A check of $500 and a certificate of recognition were presented to the above three awardees by WDSI Treasurer, Professor Sheldon Smith of Utah Valley University, during the WDSI 2018 business luncheon at noon on April 6, 2018.

The governing board of the Western Decision Sciences Institute (WDSI) has approved funding for a number of $500 awards to support junior faculty (tenure-track faculty) to attend the 2018 WDSI annual meeting.

We are delighted to announce the five winners of these awards:
